Moving to Fernie?
Want to ensure you don’t waste your money on bad food? You’re in luck! There aren’t any bad restaurants in Fernie 😉
I would love to share a few of my favorites with you.
I’m not a fan of needing to scroll and scroll and scroll to get to the meat of a post – so I’ll jump right in!
My #1 Pick:
Sushi Wood. Mmmmmmm – my Birthday pick every year (and then some).
https://www.sushiwood.com/fernie
Located at A-1221, 7th Ave – right off Highway 3, between 13th & 12th Streets.
We often order the Chicken Karrage and the Pork Gyoza, followed with all the crazy 😉 Crazy Roll, Crazy California Roll, and Crazy Girl Roll. Sometimes we’ll throw the Dynamite Roll in there too.
I’m aware this is pretty basic ordering for a Sushi Restaurant. We aren’t terribly adventurous. In fact I would LOVE your Sushi Wood suggestions! What should we try next time? What are your favorites?
Another favorite of mine is the Tandoor Grill, for Indian food.
Located West of Fernie in the Stanford Inn, on Highway 3.
We always go for the traditional Naan and Butter Chicken – again pretty basic ordering. The Grilled Prawns and Chicken Tikka are fantastic as well. In my defense we are sharing with three (mostly picky) kids!
And my final “go to” is The Pub.
www.parkplacelodge.com
Located on the North end of the Park Place Lodge on Highway 3, in the middle of Fernie (742 Highway #3)
My going-on-20-years favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. It was off the menu for a few years, and my pub lunches felt incomplete! If something else on the menu catches your eye, give it a go, but I STRONGLY suggest you get the Philly Cheese dip for your fries with whatever you order! 😉
This photo is of the Loaded Burger – no pics of my favorite Philly Cheese!
This blog post by Born to be Adventurous lists a handful of other awesome Fernie restaurants, if you’re keen to find a longer list of suggestions.
Happy Dining!!!
And welcome to Fernie!!!
